Macmillan Children’s Books has launched a new website for author Rod Campbell.
The website is a celebration of the world of Dear Zoo and Friends, designed parents, teachers and children to explore and enjoy.
Macmillan has partnered with research agency Mumpanel tin the development of the new site, listening and responding to the ideas and requests from parents about how they would like to use the website with their children.
The result is a consumer-focused website, navigable by age and stage, with regular updates on ideas for what to read next as well as new resources for teachers, parents and children.
“I’m really pleased that Macmillan’s wonderful new website Dear Zoo and Friends is so completely in tune with the simplicity and clarity of my books,” commented Campbell.
“I think it looks good and works extremely well. And of course, it’s for both parents and children so I hope they will return to it often, to enjoy the books, games and downloadable activities together.”
Stephanie Barton, publisher of under sixes at Macmillan Children’s Books, added: “It was really important that we listened and acted upon parental feedback as we developed the website; all the time remaining true to the brilliance and classic nature of Rod’s work. Dear Zoo & Friends brings all of Rod’s books into the digital age with an innovative site and is a great new platform for families to enjoy one of Macmillan’s most-loved evergreen brands.”
