Masha and the Bear picks up new food and accessories licenses

New collections include sunglasses, ice cream and mineral water.

Maurizio Distefano Licensing (MDL) has revealed three new licensees will be jumping on board for its pre-school animation Masha and the Bear.

The new licenses will bolster the 60 contracts that were signed in the last year for the children's property.

Swiss Eyewear Group will develop a line of Masha and the Bear sunglasses for children aged three to eight years old. Each set will feature 100 per cent polarised lenses, anti-shock frames and will be available in different styles and colours.

Italian water company Acqua Sant’Anna will create fruit juices, iced decaffeinated tea, and still and sparkling mineral water.

Lastly, PreGel, an Italian manufacturer of gelato, yoghurt and dessert products will offer Italian ice cream stores the chance to sell various flavors based on the TV show, as well as pink sweets and themed decorations.
