Monty Python heading into new sectors

Posters and greeting cards areas next to be targeted by classic brand.

PPC Enterprises has struck a brace of deals which will see Monty Python expanding into the poster and greeting cards markets.

Celebrating its 40th birthday this year, the brand has been picked up by Pyramid, which will be producing posters featuring some of the most popular characters and catchphrases. In addition, Monty Python will be joining a variety of other brands on, the print on demand greeting card site.

"It's great to have two such big names as Pyramid and Moonpig on board - they are adding to an ever growing list of licensees across a variety of sectors," said Mark Hurry, legal and commercial director at PCC Enterprises.

The duo join Famous Forever Clothing and ID Wall in the licensing programme, while deals have also been secured for voice key chains (Underground Toys) and dress-up.
