Top rating pre-school show, Mr Bloom's Nursery, is to return for a third series, with licensing agent Bulldog hoping this will give it a further boost in the consumer products sector.
The show is one of the UK's highest rating pre-school offerings on Cbeebies and BBC2, with audiences peaking at over 500,000 on the pre-school channel with a 23.6 per cent share.
It is also a key part of the Cbeebies website, attracting 35,000 visitors a week.
Bulldog is due to announce a number of merchandising deals shortly.
"Mr Bloom's Nursery is a big, big hit so it is no surprise the BBC has commissioned a third series," said Bulldog MD, Rob Corney. "It's a very strong licensing prospect and we are dealing with a lot of interest from the industry, as well as consumers keen to get information on forthcoming product.
"We are in talks with a number of prospective partners and will be announcing plans for key categories very soon. It seems certain that the Mr Bloom programme is set to grow and grow."
