Cameras are going behind the scenes of the Natural History Museum for the first time, with a special series beginning on BBC2 tonight (March 18th).

Museum of Life - which airs on the channel at 8pm - will provide viewers with access to all aspects of museum life, with a focus on its research worldwide and the 70 million specimens that it looks after.

"We're very excited by this series," commented NHM's head of licensing, Jeremy Ensor. "This series has an expected eight million reach and will generate huge interest in the Museum.

"As a result, our licensees are bound to benefit from this increased exposure of our brand."
