Telltale Games is to release a new video game series this winter to tie in with the 25th anniversary celebrations of iconic film trilogy, Back to the Future.

The games will feature likenesses of both Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), who is also voicing his character for the full game series. The classic DeLorean Time Machine will also be featured.

Telltale will deliver the series in five monthly episodes.

"Creating cinematic adventures true to the source is a top mission for Telltale," said CEO Dan Connors. "Securing Marty and Doc for the games, and presenting the experience that fans know and love, has been top on our list since we initiated development."

Back to the Future co-creator and writer Bob Gale will be consulting with Telltale on the characterisations and storyline for the games.
