New director joins Character World

Homewares specialist hires supply chain director to strengthen its board.

Character World has strengthed its board of directors, with the appointment of Adam Howarth as supply chain director.

Howarth will head up a team of 20 at the Cheadle-based licensee. His previous experience includes ten years at Kellogg's, while he was also a partner at consultancy firm Ascertain Performance.

At Character World, Howarth will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's supply chain, including offices in China and Pakistan, with the aim of improving supply chain efficiency.

"Adam has extensive experience improving the efficiency and performance of global businesses, making him a welcome addition to the team," said joint MD of Character World, Mark Schweiger. "The knowledge he has built up will be invaluable in helping us achieve our ambitious plans for growth."
