Live Nation Entertainment has sealed a deal with Figures Toy Company to launch new Kiss action figures in October.
The firm will roll out eight and 12-inch figures, reminiscent of those first released back in 1977-78 by the Mego Toy Company.
The figures will have rooted hair, cloth clothing, 16 points of articulation and are based on the first Kiss album from 1974.
"I never understood why eight-inch Kiss action figures were not produced back in the 1970s when the Mego Toy Company had already released the 12-inch versions," stated Anthony Balasco, CFO of Figures Toy Company. "Our second release will have the retro look from the 1970s but updated with more detailed costumes."
Further releases from the firm will cover all time periods in Kiss' 40-year musical career. These will include Demon 'Hotter Than Hell' and Starchild with Bandit Make-up exclusives and limited edition releases.
