Continuing to broaden the Tetley Tea brand, Golden Goose has secured a deal for a new range of Gaffer's Biscuits, launching this month.

Initially distributed through Nisa stores, the Gaffer-shaped biscuits come in three flavours - Choc Chip, Golden Crunch and Ginger. Sold in packs of six, the biscuits will be available for a promotional price of £1 until December 4th, after which they will have a recommended price of £1.49.

The biscuits will be produced under licence by Yorkshire bakery, Grandma Wilds.

"Tea is a top three top up item in convenience stores so it makes sense to have this range of biscuits available there to partner a good cup of Tetley," said Anand Gandesha, marketing manager for Tetley.

Brand consultancy Golden Goose has an exclusive three-year deal to represent the Tetley Tea Folk in the licensing arena.

The biscuits follow on from the launch of Tetley scones earlier this year.
