Personalised book specialist, WowBooks is targeting the licensing space with what it has billed the "most innovative personalised book service on the market."

WowBooks launched this week with three consumer publishers already on board for the initiative that offers personalised storybooks and photobooks to consumers with a 48 hour production turnaround time.

The company has stated that it is "already in discussions with licensing partners for its platform," and it is "keen to continue conversations in this sector."

WowBooks is fuelled by its proprietary software, WowFlow, which is designed to work with publishers’ own systems to 'ensuring the process is completely automated.' Two years in development, WowFlow automates everything from order submission to dispatch.

Specialising in personalised storybooks and photobooks within a 48-hour production turnaround, with a wide range of finishing and personalisation. The company launches with a powerful direct mail campaign, which includes a collection of personalised mini books and embedded video the recipient can play at the touch of a button.

With options such as stapled and perfect bound books, WowBooks also offers Lay-Flat binding, where books open completely flat. Additional finishes include laminating and digital foiling.

Andrew Balcombe, founder of WowBooks, commented: “We created WowBooks because we saw a gap in the market for a personalised production service that offered speed, product innovation and cost effectiveness.

"Having worked in high quality digital print for many years, we knew that bespoke software would allow us to integrate and automate seamlessly.

“Even as they take hundreds of digital photos every week, customers see real value in beautifully produced, personalised products that are tactile and make a lasting impression."

He told Licensing.biz: "We are already in discussions with licensing partners and are keen to continue conversations within this sector."
