Social expression brand Pet Poets Club is to be represented in North America by Jewel Branding & Licensing following a new deal struck by Lavish Productions and Ignition.
Jewel, headed by Julie Newman, apparently already has a number of potential licensees interested in greeting cards, stationery, publishing and social stationery categories, with products due in late 2009 and early 2010.
Meanwhile, in the UK, the brand is also steadily growing. The Greetings Factory launched a range of 12 everyday and six boxed packs of Pet Poets Club Christmas cards at Spring Fair in Birmingham recently; Danilo has signed up for calendars and diaries; Greencore (part of Hazlewood Grocery) are incorporating the brand's humour and cute factor into its new online 'design your own cake' operation which launches in March; and Pink Magazine will be running regular features and competitions.
The new licensees join existing partners Is It Art? wallet cards and www.greetz.co.uk online print-on-demand greetings.
Further deals due this year include gift books, housewares, off the page collectible plates and gifts (including mugs, stationery and watches).
