Plastic Head Distribution has sealed a deal with MGM and Rocket Licensing to create t-shirts, fashion led apparel and accessories featuring the '90s cult action hero, Robocop.
Plastic Head says the cyborg sci-fi police officer will be a cornerstone of its new range of cult movie and TV related merchandise, which is being launched this summer.
“We were looking for a number of key action heroes to launch our entry into the character licensing market and Robocop seemed an obvious choice,” says PHD merchandising director Chris Parkes.
“Rocket Licensing and MGM have been fantastic in providing us the with the design material we needed to create this fantastic line which will be in stores in the UK and selected countries throughout Europe in early June.”

Rob Wijeratna, Joint MD at Rocket Licensing, said: “It’s great to see a new apparel licensee entering this market and given PHD’s experience in distributing both music and merchandise all over Europe, we see them as the perfect partner to re introduce classic Robocop to fans in the UK and key European territories.”
Plastic Head Distribution offers a catalogue of nearly 3,000 lines of licensed merchandise including Heavy Metal, Classic Rock and Cult TV and Movie brands.
