Poppy Cat 'Summer of Fun' marketing activity detailed

Coolabi teams up with Fun Kids Radio and LolliBop Festival to promote pre-school brand.

Popular kids’ TV and book series Poppy Cat will reach hundreds of thousands of children this summer thanks to a fresh marketing campaign.

Coolabi will promote its pre-school brand with a ‘Summer of Fun’ promotion. It’s teaming up with Fun Kids Radio and LolliBop Festival to bring music and competitions to UK pre-schoolers.

Fun Kids Radio will treat its 200,000 listeners with a series of features about Poppy Cat this month, which will be broadcast 100 times. Listeners can also win prizes and view a special dance video featuring Poppy Cat and Fun Kids presenter Josh. 

Poppy Cat will also make an appearance at under 10s children’s event LolliBop Festival, which takes place in Regents Park from August 17th to 19th. The cat will have a 15-minute live stage show and host reading sessions. Licensed Poppy Cat toys from Golden Bear will be featured in John Lewis’ toy tent, too.

Summer of Fun will also be communicated to Poppy Cat’s Facebook and Twitter followers.

The Poppy Cat book series has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide and the TV show has been sold to almost 100 territories worldwide to date. It started airing on a new NBC Kids block from July and on France’s key Zouzous slot on France5 in June.
