The Smiley Company is looking to grow its presence within the publishing sector this year, and has already got off to a solid start with several new titles rolling out from French publishing house Dragon D'or.
Smiley World is now in its second year of publishing, with a number of English titles as well as French. The range includes various wall charts, the 'My First Series' including animals, moods and sports, plus a colouring series and the 'My Smiley Album' line.
New titles published by Dragon D'or so far in 2009 include Ou Est Smiley (a look and find book), Le Dico Smiley (a dictionary of emoticons), Mes Mots en Anglais (My English Words, a book for French children to learn their first English words), Mon Journal (a scrapbook including stickers), Les Lives De Jeux (a children's activity book), Les Enigmes Smiley (puzzle book) and Les Blagues Smiley (joke book).
The Smiley Company's publishing concept is to create a world with icons which educates and teaches children about different emotions, words and the use of language.
