Fashion brand PunkyFish is looking to extend its brand with a number of deals, the first being a link up for a new line of mobile phone accessories through licensing agent Performance Brands.
The new deal has been signed with SMART, with the accessories including universal cases - which also fit iPods and small digital cameras - plus phone jewellery. All will be available from supermarkets and other retailers in the summer.
Existing licensing deals cover jewellery, footwear and personal care. Performance Brands has also recently signed deals for a range of stationery with Lannoo and watches from Hana Time.
"PunkyFish has become an iconic fashion brand in a short space of time," said David Ball, MD of Performance Brands, "and licensees are understandably eager to get in on the act. There is huge scope for expansion with PunkyFish and we are very much at the start in licensing terms."
Aimed at girls aged 16 to 30, PunkyFish has 14 outlets on the High Street, while the brand is also sold across 350 other retail stores across the UK and Ireland. A franchising programme has also created a strong presence in Europe and the Middle East.
