Poster specialist Pyramid has acquired the Life licence after striking a deal with Bulldog Licensing.
Life magazine printed a host of iconic and historic images that Pyramid now has access to, including ones of Winston Churchill, the Kennedys, the Empire State Building and the famous snap of a sailor kissing a nurse at the end of World War II (pictured).
Pyramid will produce a range of Life products including calendars and wall art.
Other licensing partners include The Art Group, which is producing greetings cards and postcards, and Poetic Gem, which is listed in UK fashion stores.
Bulldog is also in discussion with a range of other potential licensees.
“Having a market leader such as Pyramid on board is great news and further evidence of just what a strong brand Life is, and how much potential it has for merchandising,” said Bulldog MD Rob Corney.
“It’s certainly a brand that is creating a lot of excitement – existing product lines are going down a storm at retail and we are dealing with huge amounts of interest from the licensing community and retailers.”
