The licensing campaign for Emma Thomson's Princess Pearl has stepped up a gear, with Rocket beginning the next phase with two key launches.
Five new books have been released by Hodder Children's Books - four storybooks and a special novelty book.
The storybooks - each with an embedded 'pearl' on the cover - are Princess Pearl: A Friend to Treasure; Princess Pearl: A Fashion Fairytake; Princess Pearl: A Royal Ballet; and Princess Pearl: A Birthday Ball.
The fifth book - Princess Pearl and the Underwater Kingdom - will have pop-ups and flaps.
Meanwhile, Marks & Spencer has a new Princess Pearl nightdress and pyjama range. Specially designed for the High Street chain by Watermelon, the range is illustrated with character images and a pearl of wisdom - a theme of all the books - on the inside collar.
M&S is also stocking an exclusive new range of Tigerprint Princess Pearl cards.
"Our aim at all times in this campaign is to create product that reflects the quality and charm of Princess Pearl, and has clear appeal to the core audience but can also boast genuine brand longevity," said Rob Wijeratna, joint MD at Rocket. "Thanks to Emma's exceptional talents as a storyteller and illustrator, not to mention a growing list of quality licensing partners, our job has become just that bit easier."
