Snow, ski and mountain brand Rossignol is moving into licensed product having appointed IMG as its worldwide licensing agent.
Rossignol is newly independent having separated from previous owner Quiksilver. It is planning to refocus on its historic technical and commercial leadership in skis and related hard goods.
Its first licensing partnership will be in the skiwear apparel category. Rossignol and IMG will also be seeking deals in the footwear, eyewear and sports bag areas.
"It is a privilege to be handling an important part of the new strategy of this iconic 100 year-old winter sports brand," said Bruno Maglione, IMG executive VP and co managing director of IMG Licensing Worldwide. "With the next Winter Olympic games around the corner, audiences will be reminded of Rossignol's brand dominance and the attractiveness to partner with it in appropriate ancillary categories."
