The classic line of cheeky seaside British postcards – Bamforth Vintage Collection – is getting a new lease of life.
Global licensing agent JELC has struck a deal with Judges, UK printer and publisher of postcards, greeting cards, calendars and stationery, to launch a range of over 60 Bamforth postcards.
These postcards will appear in gift shops, museums, heritage retailers and tourist sites.
The last Bamforth postcard was published in the late 20th Century.
David Notley, director of Judges Postcards, said: "The union of the Bamforth and Judges brands is a perfect marriage, and we are proud to deliver the planet’s best known saucy postcard range to the market once more."
Janet Woodward, JELC’s director, added: "It’s an extraordinary tribute to the popularity of the Bamforth brand and success of the licensing programme that we are now revisiting the postcard category that made Bamforth famous.
"It’s highly appropriate that the Bamforth postcard range is being produced by another very British brand and one of the most trusted names in the postcard business."
JELC announced last month that a range of gifts based on the Bamforth postcards will hit shelves in July.
