Scarlett & Crimson cosmetics debut in Urban Outfitters

Coolabi secures deal with quirky fashion outlet for branded make-up and accessories.

The brand has already enjoyed success in Boots and Superdrug, and now Coolabi's Scarlett and Crimson cosmetics and accessories will be listed by key fashion player, Urban Outfitters.

The quirky chain will be stocking specially selected lines in its flagship stores in Oxford Street, London and Bluewater, as well as its Scandinavian outlets in Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Lines selected include Mega Lash Mascara and Punk Your Eyes eyeliner - which has been nominated in the 2010 Pure Beauty magazine awards in the Best New Eye Product category.

If the initial range proves successful, the company plans to roll out the products to more stores in time for Christmas.

"This news underlines the continuing growth of Scarlett & Crimson as a fashion and style brand, with a strong appeal to a wide audience," said Anna Hewitt, head of licensing at Coolabi. "Christmas gifting sales for the cosmetics ranges proved strong in the 2009 season, which is why we are delighted that one of the biggest fashion names in the High Street is taking these ranges for this season."

Urban Outfitters buyer, Emma Hopkin, added: "These dramatic and stylish products project an image of individuality and personal style that has a strong appeal for our customers. We are excited about introducing Scarlett & Crimson cosmetics to our stores."
