The Smiley Company has enjoyed a successful summer - signing up licences across a wide range of categories in key territories.
The firm has signed with Groupe Alpa to develop a line of back to school and gift across its core Original Smiley and SmileyWorld brands in France and Benelux.
Building on its previous successes in the back to school category, deals with Sportandem in Spain and Stationary Team across the rest of EMEA will further bolster the company.
In the Asia-Pacific region, deals for SmileyWorld mineral water with PT Jimando (Indonesia) and Seolim for umbrellas and gloves (Korea) have been signed.
Meanwhile, apparel, one of the strongest categories for Smiley, has seen extensive growth over the first two quarters of 2012. New fashion products have been launched with leading licensees Leomil, Fashion UK, Silverknit, Santex, Carel, Brands & Fashion and Diffusione Moda.
Elsewhere, a new venture has seen Smiley teaming up with Mobility France for the creation of a range of consumer electronics including headphones, earphones, mini-speakers, USB sticks and hubs.
Direct to retail partnerships with Etam, Benetton, Claire’s, Lifestyle India and Terranova have also helped build on the firm's international High Street footprint.
