Smiley is planning to open its first ever pop-up store in Milan's Corso Garibaldi.
The move is to coincide with Milan Fashion Week and is in partnership with Italian licensee Cartorama.
As well as a wide range of Smiley and SmileyWorld products by Cartorama (including stationery, plush, jewellery and bags), there will also be a selection of products from other licensees. This will include clothing by Adventureland, underwear by Etam, jewellery by N2, homewares by Nef Nef and Happy Therapy beauty products by Arthes.
The store will also house a mini exhibition of Smiley pop art, an installation of a selection of Smiley Photo Gallery images.
"We are very excited to open this pop up shop and test for the first time the concept of a Smiley store," said the firm's CEO Nicolas Loufrani. "It will be the base for the future development of a Smiley franchise internationally."
