The Original Smiley Brand has signed a new deal with Dunkin’ Brands to be the face of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Global Donut Day promotion.
Scheduled annually on the first Friday in June, Dunkin’ Donuts will take the National Donut Day promotion global again this year, bringing it to over 3,300 restaurants in more than 40 countries.
The Smiley face will be featured on donuts and appear in marketing and in-store promotional materials.
Activation kits featuring a variety of Smiley expressions and icons will be distributed to the over 3,300 franchised outlets outside the USA for Global Donut Day, where they can be used for icing on donuts and for promotions in-store.
Dunkin’ Donuts crew members will also be wearing Smiley branded merchandise, and Smiley will also feature in all of the brand’s digital and social media campaigns around this promotion.
