Sony Pictures Consumer Products has appointed Rocket Licensing as its new agent for the UK and Eire.

The duo will kick off their partnership with the launch of a licensing programme for the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters in 2014, as well as expanding categories for TV series, Breaking Bad.

Rocket will also manage titles including classics such as Fantasy Island, The Karate Kid, Bewitched, Taxi Driver, Starsky & Hutch and Charlie's Angels.

Theatrical films will also be a part of the portfolio with titles including Hotel Transylvania 2 in 2015.

"We are thrilled to have Rocket as part of the Sony team," said Gregory Economos, SVP global consumer products at SPCP. "They have a strong presence and amazing relationships in this industry and we look forward to seeing the success of this partnership and our brands."
