Space Enterprises will be looking to ramp up the licensing programme for The Hive, following the news that Playhouse Disney has picked up the pre-school show for broadcast across 150 countries.
The multi-territory deal will see The Hive shown from early 2011 on Playhouse Disney channels in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Soth East Asia, Korea, Japan, India, Latin America, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The show is also due to premiere in the autumn in the UK on GMTV's pre-school Fluffy Club weekend programming strand.
Space Enterprises is handling all licensing activity, and has already signed up Aykroyds and TDP Licensing for branded children's apparel.
"Playhouse Disney is a great partner and their support has proven to us that The Hive is setting up to become an international hit," said Tatiana Kober, president of Bejuba Entertainment, the distributor of the show.
