SPORTS MONTH: Match Attax sales remain strong after World Cup
Just a few days after England's exit from the tournament, the range achieved its highest sales figures and has continued to perform well.
Last week the collection was the number one selling collectable in WH Smith.
As attention turns to the 2010/11 Premier League season and the launch of the new Match Attax collection in October, Topps UK sales manager, Steve Conner, said:
"We were confident that the England Match Attax collection would perform strongly, irrespective of how the team performed at this summer's tournament.
"The Match Attax brand is now well established and we know loyal collectors will continue purchasing packets until they complete the collection. Our EPOS data shows that stores who continue to support and list the England Match Attax collection are seeing good sales figures and we expect this to continue for a number of weeks to come.
"Our message to independent retailers is that there is still a demand for this product and for the next few weeks they should be giving it a final push and share the success that other retailers are experiencing with the brand."
