Star Trek: Discovery gains new retail partners

The upcoming TV series gained a slew of partners during the Star Trek Las Vegas convention, including Simon & Schuster, IDW, Rubies and more.

A slate of partners are coming on board to support the new series Start Trek: Discovery, CBS Consumer Products has revealed.

During the Star Trek Las Vegas convention, partners including Simon & Schuster, IDW, Rubies and Titan detailed plans to develop product lines including apparel, publishing, costumes, collectables and more.

“We are excited to bring the iconic world of Star Trek back into fans’ homes through this fantastic new series and new product collections,” said Veronica Hart, SVP of CBS Consumer Products.

“This impressive line-up of partners is just the beginning and fans can expect to see more as we prepare to beam up to the U.S.S. Discovery this fall."

Other partners including Trevco will launch a line of branded t-shirts and Anovos will develop a collection of replicas of the new Starfleet uniforms, while Rizzoli will debut a line of calendars.

The series will make its debut on the CBS Television Network on September 24th.
