Start Licensing is continuing to build up the licensing programme for greeting card brand, Party Paws and its star character, A Bear Called Bamboo.

Crafter's Companion has picked up the licence for a collection which includes rubber stamps, craft papers and accessories.

The firm joins Igloo Books and cross stitch company Cotton Crosses as part of the licensing programme.

Igloo has developed three picture story books which will be launching shortly, with further titles planned for 2013.

The cornerstone of the range, however, is a line of greetings cards from K2 Greetings, which have notched up sales in excess of four million units.

"Party Paw is a charming and cute brand that has attracted good interest from licensees," said Ian Downes, MD of Start Licensing. "We are delighted to add Crafter's Companion to the licensee list and see this as a natural fit for the property.

"Igloo Books' illustrated books are a fantastic representation of the property, and the interest they have received for the books has been excellent with UK and co-edition sales looking strong."

Start is now aiming to further develop agreements in categories including calendars, wall art, plush and party goods.
