Performance Brands has unveiled details of a new deal that will see premium brand Tonino Lamborghini lend its name to a new line of bicycles.
Komda Bicycles will be selling an exclusive range of Tonino Lamborghini branded bikes in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This will include road bikes, mountain bikes and folding bikes, as well as branded bike parts, accessories and cycling clothing.
The line is due to launch in January 2010, with the bikes selling between $200 and $600.
Komda will also be producing a small number of high-end carbon frame bikes that will retail for over $1,600.
Komda joins an already strong licensing programme. Tonino Lamborghini has licensees in a wide range of categories including eyewear, footwear, jewellery, power tools, apparel, fashion accessories, furnishings and cafés. Major licences include a collection of lighters, cigar cutters and men's jewellery from the Ming Wide Lighter Group, leather goods from LF Group and t-shirts from Worn Free.
"Komda were interested in the Tonino Lamborghini brand as it reflects the quality and style of their bikes," said Performance Brands' joint MD, David Ball.
