Tottenham Hotspur kicks off major licensing push

Club sees 'huge' potential for growth in both the UK and international markets.

With over 25 licensees already on board, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is looking to ramp up its presence in licensing even further going forward.

With former CPLG Sport man, Gary Jacobson now at the club as brand licensing manager, plans to develop that side of the business are continuing apace.

Licensees already on board include Aykroyds TDP, Danilo, GB eye, Home Win, Hy-Pro and New Era, with merchandise available across the UK in sports stores, supermarkets, department and gift stores, as well as online.

"We have opportunities to licence the Tottenham Hotspur brand across a wide range of categories, catering for our target markets," Victoria Howarth, head of retail for Tottenham Hotspur explained to Licensing.biz. "We select licensees who can guarantee and champion the profile, style and brand of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club through their products and service to all stakeholders.

"We are very pleased to have appointed Gary Jacobson as our new brand licensing manager to further develop our licensing programme."

Jacobson added: "I am delighted to be joining Spurs at this exciting time. We have a very strong licensing programme, but there is huge potential to grow the Tottenham Hotspur brand both in the UK and international markets."
