Icelandic character-based lifestyle brand Tulip has appointed Björg Arnardottir as its new licensing manager, with responsibility for spearheading the growth of the brand’s licensing business at this key stage in its expansion plans.

Arnardottir boasts a strong background in managing international projects and partnerships with responsibilities including managing both financial and promotional activities and will now spearhead the growth of the brand’s licensing business at this key stage in its expansion plans.

In her new role, Arnardottir will work closely with the brand’s existing licensees and licensing agents to develop and coordinate Tulipop’s merchandise and marketing programs in addition to securing new licensing partnerships and opportunities for the Tulipop brand worldwide with an immediate focus to expand the licensing program in Europe in 2018.

“We are delighted to welcome Björg to the Tulipop family," said Tulipop’s co-founder Helga Arnadottir.

"As the property’s global reputation and fanbase continues to grow, Björg will be ideally placed to take Tulipop to the next level and to help the brand reach and engage with people globally on as many different platforms and touchpoints as possible.”

Björg’s appointment comes at a key time of expansion for Tulipop as it celebrates the launch of a series of webisodes on a dedicated Tulipop YouTube channel, the opening of the company’s first flagship store in Reykjavik and a growing presence in the US centered on an exclusive retail launch in 300 Hot Topic stores in November 2017.

Founded in 2010, Tulipop now stocks to 300 stores in the US and Europe with products ranging from vinyl figurines and plush to lamps, stationery and tableware.
