The University of Oxford licensing programme has welcomed a new home décor partner.

In a deal brokered by Oxford''s licensing agent for the UK and Europe, Performance Brands, the firm has partnered with Smith & Fellows for wall coverings.

The company specialises in innovative and elegant wall coverings, inspired by archival and historic designs.

The five-year multi-territory deal will see collections of Oxford pattern, sourced and derived from a number of University archives and libraries, marketed across territories including UAE and China.

In addition, this autumn will also see new product introductions to Oxford's successful furniture range by Timothy Oulton. This will include an iconic test tube chandelier, butterfly specimen table inspired by the entomological displays in the University's Museum of Natural History, and a modern chair in brushed steel and colourful leather.

Table lamps and floor lamps available in boating stripe or tartan will also feature in the new Oxford catalogue.

"Source material such as pattern, photography and illustration are key assets for home décor and furnishing patterns, and Oxford has plenty for licensees to choose from," said Chris Evans, MD of Oxford Limited.
