US: Happy House pushes into American retail

Tween lifestyle brand grows presence in the States with new plush deal.

Bradford Licensing, the agent for tween lifestyle brand Happy House, has successfully grown the property through a number of new partnerships with several major domestic and international retailers.

A recent deal with Commonwealth Toy & Novelty means an assortment of Happy House characters will soon appear at Toys R Us nationwide and at various international locations by means of an exclusive co-branding partnership with the retailer's own plush label, Animal Alley.

The range will include characters such as Zebra, Duck, Octopus, Turtle, Sausage Dog and Cow, with more due to be added in the future. The launch is planned for early October.

In addition to this deal, Happy House plush products are now available at a number of Target stores in the US and will soon be appearing in various outlets throughout Central and South America.

As well as Commonwealth Toy & Novelty, Conver USA is currently developing Happy House licensed metallic balloons (due in 2009), while in South America Torre has been producing back to school products for Chile, Ecuador and Paraguay and Colombiana Kimberly Colpapel has just signed to develop a line of notebooks for Colombia.

In the UK, Happy House is represented by Ignition Licensing and Euro Lizenzen throughout Germany. Bradford Licensing is now seeking partners in apparel, fashion accessories and domestics.
