A new fashion collection featuring the classic character Betty Boop is hitting retail shelves in the US this month.
King Features Syndicate has teamed up with Joyrich, with the new line forming a key part of the company's fall/winter 2013 collection. It is launching at stores in LA, Las Vegas, New York City, Atlanta, plus online at Nasty Gal and Dolls Kills.
Known for using iconic images from past generations for its designs, Joyrich has created a modern line with a retro edge that uses Betty Boop images in fun, bold patterns on apparel and accessories.
The Betty Boop x Joyrich Collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, cardigans, denim and bottoms ranging from $70 up to $233. The line also includes accessories such as tote bags, a snapback and a branded knit scarf.
"Like Joyrich, we are always looking for collaborations that creatively modernise these icons and this partnership allows both parties to provide consumers with a fun, chic line that will appeal to Betty Boop fans and fashionistas of every generation," said David Golzman, domestic licensing manager for King Features.
