Goodyear has renewed and extended its licensing representation with IMG Licensing.
The firm, a division of IMG Worldwide, will continue its representation of the tyre brand as part of a global long-term multi-year deal.
IMG has been working with Goodyear from 2009. Since then, IMG has licensed the Goodyear brand into new markets and categories across Europe, Asia and South America, including car accessories, tools, work wear and safety footwear.
In the past year, IMG has also launched technical outdoor clothing and footwear lines that trade on "core Goodyear brand attributes such as durability and weather-proof performance", as well as a lifestyle clothing collection using vintage typography and imagery inspired by the brand’s rich heritage and US roots.
The new agreement also sees IMG represent Goodyear in the US for the first time in the apparel, footwear and lifestyle accessory categories.
Fabrice Faurie, VP of IMG Licensing, said: “Goodyear is one of the most instantly recognisable brands in the world and one that evokes clear and powerful attributes that are highly relevant to a wide range of products. There are currently more than 40 Goodyear licensees across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
