King Features Syndicate is showcasing a raft of new properties in Vegas this week, including an extension to the classic Betty Boop brand.

Betty Boop Zombie Love is a new style guide and art treatments, with the wide-eyed beauty clearly a victim of the zombie craze currently infecting the world.

The brand extension follows a significant deal with Joyrich to introduce the character into fashion boutiques across the country.

In addition, King Features will be showing off US publishing brand Chicken Soup for the Soul, with the licensing programme mainly focusing on giftware and apparel.

Meanwhile, Betty & Veronica (pictured) will make its debut at the show under the King Features umbrella. Categories targeted will include apparel, fashion accessories, electronic accessories, stationery and gifts.

Classic brands Popeye and Olive Oyl will also be on show.

"We are excited to have so many upcoming projects to showcase at this year's Licensing Expo as we continue to grow and evolve our company," said Ita Golzman, VP of North American licensing at King Features.
