VEGAS 2016: Bulldog signs new UK clothing partners for Yo-Kai Watch

The new deals will see Cooneen producing a line of nightwear and underwear while Fashion UK wil deliver a selection of day wear items for the anime property.

Bulldog Licensing has secured two new apparel partners for its hit boys' property, Yo-Kai Watch.

The new deals will see Cooneen producing a line of nightwear and underwear while Fashion UK wil deliver a selection of day wear items for the anime property that has stormed to success in Japan and across the globe in the last few years.

The series dominates the television, merchandise, gaming and to markets in Japan, generating retail sales of over €2 billion in less than two years.

In the UK, Cartoon Network has snapped up the show and screens it every weekend morning and evening. The property is now tipped to be the biggest brand for Back to School 2016.

The latest signings add to a growin roster of partners for Yo-Kai Watch, including deals with Kinnerton (confectionery), Centum (publishing), Hasbro (master toy), Nintendo (video games), Egmont (magazine publishing) and Panini (sticker collection).

“YO-KAI WATCH is justifying all the hype,” said Bulldog Group MD, Rob Corney. “It’s absolutely massive in Japan and the UK market is proving equally receptive. It’s getting a great reception on Cartoon Network and licensees are eager to capitalise on this. We have a rapidly expanding programme and expect to be announcing more deals very soon.”
