Sugar confectionery manufacturer R Crawford has launched Vimto and Tango Fizzy Lollipops.
Although Crawfords has held the rights to produce Vimto lollipops and boiled sweets for over 20 years, Tango is a new addition. And the firm says "licensing will form a major part of the business in the future".
The Vimto and Tango sweets feature individual bar coded sticks allowing them to be scanned by electronic tills.
The lollies have new digitally-printed drawer boxes, which have been designed for "instant" placement on shelves and counter top displays. 100 lollipops can be held inside, with a price of 10p each.
In conjunction with Belmont Packaging, the lollipops have also made new distribution gains in the forecourt and convenience sector.
Darren Butterworth, Sales Director at Crawfords, said: "We were looking for ways to offer our products to a wider range of customers across multiple sectors away from the traditional jars.
"These drawer displays are really proving to have been the right choice with customers, from the smallest shops to the largest multiples having interest in the product."
Carl Richardson, interim consultant from Sweet Connexion Ltd, added: "Crawfords is a part of the Maxilin-Crawford Group, comprising two first class UK manufacturers of sugar lollipops, sweets and the unique Liqourice Flyers."
