Warner Bros. Consumer Products has tapped GWCC to deliver a line of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter apparel, luggage and wearable accessories.

Inspired by the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies, the assortment will includes clothing for kids and adults as well as waxed canvas backpacks and headwear such as baseball caps and beanies.

The lifestyle collection will launch at the end of this month and will feature imagery from the four Hogwarts Houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. It will be available via premium gift retailers across the UK and Ireland.

“The deal with Warner Bros Consumer Products is a significant one for us at GWCC and was a huge step for us,” Asif Shaikh, licensing manager at GWCC told Licensing.biz.

“It is the best licensing experience we have had to date, WBCP has really shown us great support and guidance.”

GWCC has been in the licensing business for just over six years but has a history of manufacturing and distributing products that stretches 25 years. GWCC’s focus has traditionally been with premium gift retailers.

Shaikh added that expectations for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter are ‘understandably high,’ citing a highly popular property and a proactive licensor as well as its own quality and execution as the ‘magic formula for success.’

Rachel Wakley, general manager, WBCP UK and Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be working with GWCC on a range of Wizarding World apparel and accessories designed to cater for the premium gifting retail channels.

“They have a proven track record of delivering best in class product and we are excited to reveal this collection and look forward to a successful partnership.”

Shaikh concluded: “GWCC is honoured to take on the Wizarding World in partnership with WBCP. We have injected a top line of quality into our apparel and wearable accessories range.

“You will see magical touches of quality all across our garments. What we have achieved is a sense of belonging in the houses, something the consumers will cherish.”
