Stepping up its expansion plans, Withit has signed two new agencies to target Southern Europe and Central and South America.
Maria Sanguino at El Ocho has been appointed agent for Spain and Portugal while Versa Licensing’s Elias Levy will handle the Withit portfolio in Mexico. The pair will focus on securing partners in the stationery, bags and apparel categories.
Richard Woolf, international licensing director at Withit, said: “I’m delighted to announce our partnerships with both El Ocho and Versa Licensing, and expanding our brand awareness in Southern Europe as well as Central and South America.
“I believe these markets will be impactful for the Withit characters. We expect them to resonate well with consumers in these markets who have an enduring fascination for apparel and stationery which feature art-inspired characters.”
Withit is also targeting expansion in Russia and CIS and signed its first Russian licensee – Proburo – in February.
