Woodmansterne signs up for Bamforth line

Firm to produce greetings cards based on classic saucy seaside postcards.

Woodmansterne has bolstered its licensed greetings card portfolio, adding saucy seaside postcard images from Bamforth to its roster.

The launch range will be made up of words and images from 15 of the most famous postcards in Bamforth's collection. It will be on sale from April.

More cards will be launched in the coming months, adapted from a collection which includes over 25,000 images.

"Bamforth's iconic seaside postcards bring together instantly recognisable images with cheeky double entendres," said Paul Woodmansterne, MD of the firm. "This particularly British sense of honour still raises a smile, and looks strangely naive to modern eyes - a nostalgic throw back to more innocent times when Britain retained its sense of 'Pride and Joy'."
