It is anticipated there will be over £80,000 for distributing to worthy causes.

Light Fund now open for funding requests

The Light Fund is now welcoming funding applications.

This year has seen the UK licensing industry’s charity body raise money through a successful golf day in the Midlands, the Northern Quiz, a second treaure hunt, as well as raising a record-breaking amount at the Licensing Awards.

With the Southern Quiz at Stamford Bridge still to come, it is anticipated there will be over £80,000 for distributing to worthy causes.

Applications for funding in 2014 are now welcome from charities that may be close to the hearts of members of the Licensing Industry.

To apply, visit and follow the links. All details necessary are on the website page and the window for applications will close on 28th November.

The successful bidders will be notified by the middle of December.

‘We’ve had some fabulous Light Fund events this year and the members of the licensing industry, both individuals and companies, have once again been amazingly generous with their time, effort and money," said Light Find treasurer David Scott.

"Now that generosity will be turned into real change to the lives of some of those less fortunate than us. Last year we supported 18 charities and we hope to help a similar number this year."
