Industry trade association LIMA is partnering with safety specialist UL so that members will be able to save on product testing and consulting services.
The deal will mean that LIMA members from around the world will receive a significant discount on current pricing for all UL Consumer Product Testing Services. In addition, UL will make available information on product safety related issues and other topics of interest via webinars, blog posts and more.
"Protecting brand equity is a primary concern for all IP owners and licensees," said LIMA president Charles Riotto. "Assuring that their products meet quality standards is a significant global issue for licensing practitioners, and we are excited to provide our members with access to UL’s superior testing services as part of the solution."
Jon Christiano, general manager for UL Consumer Products, North America, added: "UL can assist LIMA members in their compliance with the regulations mandated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and other international product safety standards, as well as brand criteria."
