The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association will host a trio of webinar sessions, taken by leaders in the sector, focusing on social media and e-commerce, doing business in Southeast Asia, and creating a licensing plan.
The series begins with ‘Turning Social Media into E-Commerce’ on October 30th.
This will see Maggie Plattner, VP licensing & e-commerce for Showtime Networks and CBS Consumer Products and Joe McCaffrey, lead planner for social media at digital marketing agency Huge Inc. discuss strategies for monetising the social media investment.
On November 13th, LIMA will host ‘What You Need to Know About Southeast Asia’, an insight into doing business in the region from Neal Rudge, partner in Pacific Licensing Studio.
The final webinar is ‘How to Create A Licensing Plan’ with Licensing Street’s JJ Ahearn and Building Q’s Woody Browne.
This talk will provide a nuts and bolts approach to building a licensing plan including looking at which categories to start with and how to build out a program. For licensees, they’ll also look at how to evaluate and forecast a sales plan for the property once it is added to the line.
