Release comes ahead of Michael Bay's 2014 reboot

Live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies coming to Blu-ray

The live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy from the early nineties is getting a Blu-ray release for the first time.

This release also marks the first time that the three films have been released as a complete collection.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I: The Original Movie saw Michaelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael leave the sewers of New York to take on the evil Shredder, while the sequel, The Secret of the Ooze, finds Shredder in possession of a toxic ooze capable of destroying the Turtles. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Turtles in Time follows the pizza-loving characters as they are accidently sent back in time to 17th Century Japan.

Special features include the 30 minute documentary Behind the Shells: The Making of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as trailers and a stills gallery.

Both the Blu-ray (RRP: £24.99) and DVD (RRP: £14.99) versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action collection will land on shelves on October 28th courtesy of Mediumrare Entertainment, ahead of Michael Bay’s reboot which arrives in cinemas next year.
