The first ever 30-minute Toy Story TV special will air next year.
The Halloween-themed episode will be screened exclusively on the Disney Channel in autumn 2013.
In addition to this, a brand new Toy Story TV short will air for the first time in the UK and Ireland on November 9th.
Titled 'Partysaurus Rex', it will appear on the Disney Channel at 5.50pm, before airing in cinemas as a preview to Finding Nemo 3D from March 29th, 2013.
Disney hopes these TV specials will offer 'fresh product opportunities for licensees to help maintain the franchise' strength'.
Marianthi O’Dwyer, vice president of licensing and publishing for The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland, said: "Toy Story is a franchise with almost unrivalled universal appeal which spans generations. Through the vast number of characters and timeless theme of friendship acting as a central thread between films, Toy Story appeals to boys and girls of all ages.
"With the new content we are releasing next year, there is a perfect opportunity for us to leverage this franchise through retail, especially around the Halloween TV special and beyond."
