BLE 2014: Adventure Time to headline this year's show, says Cartoon Network

Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball will be taking the limelight this BLE according to Cartoon Network.

In the wake of successful deals with H&M, ASDA, Tesco and more for Adventure Time, Cartoon Network aims to forge 'new and interesting partnerships' for the brand as it heads in to the New Year.

Meanwhile, the firm's multi-platform franchise, Mixels and its popular boys' brand, Ben 10 also feature strongly, while the Powerpuff Girls will celebrate its new series and revamped licensing programme for 2016 with a themed cocktail party and special giveaway.

“Combining established franchises like Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10; innovative brands like Mixels, and comedy hits like Adventure Time makes for a world class offering that shows how passionate we are about creating outstanding fun and superb products with partnerships that can bring the fun to life beyond the screen. It’s a very exciting time for Cartoon Network.”

Adventure Time now enjoys a burgeoning portfolio of consumer products, live experiences, collaborations and retail support. The series reached 132 million viewers globally and 37 million viewers across EMEA and has now been greenlight for a seventh series.

Alongside product collaborations with H&M, Monopoly, Funko and more, new licensees have been appointed in apparel, accessories, toys, publishing, games, homewares and food promotions.

Meanwhile, The Amazing World of Gumball, is a family-centric buddy comedy sitcom, produced in the UK and airs on Turner channels in 126 countries. The series has scooped 24 international awards to date including five BAFTAs and one International Emmy Kids Award and has been greenlit for a fourth and fifth season.
