FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has appointed a slate of new licensing agents for its hit pre-school property Kate & Mim Mim.
The new agents will handle the property's now burgeoning portfolio of licensing partners across the key territories across Europe, Russia and beyond.
Planeta Junior has signed as the licensing agent for all of its European territories including France where the series is signed to Lagardere and already airs on Tiji; Iberia, where the show will screen on Clan in Spain and Panda in Portugal.
The partnership will also see the series air across Italy where it launches on Cartoonito; CEE where it is shown on MiniMini in Poland and MiniMax in Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary as well as Turkey where it will air on Minika.
Meanwhile, Megalicense has signed as the licensing agent for Russia and CIS, where Kate & Mim Mim is due to air on Karusel and ANI. The new signings join SRTL who already acts as the licensing agent for Germany.
Billed by Fremantle as a 'lively animated pre-school series about the friendship between between five-year-old Kate and her toy bunny Mim Mim, the show has recently been green-lit for a second season, scheduled to air globally from spring 2016.
The series is currently in pre-production and will include two themed seasonal specials.
As Fremantle continues to drive the popularity of the series, it has also recently secured the US-based firm Just Play as its global master toy partner who will focus on rolling out a collection of plush, dolls, playsets and figure packs across the US and the UK in summer 2016.
A wider international roll out will follow soon after.
Tracy Griffiths, VP licensing and consumer products, EMEA and Australia FMKFE, said: “After an extraordinarily successful debut and an exciting 12 months of development and activity, our adventurous duo Kate & Mim-Mim are definitely going places both on and off screen.
"We are delighted to welcome these prestigious partners on board to help develop and grow the brand further in key territories across Europe.”
Created by the award-winning husband and wife team Scott and Julie Stewart. FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment holds the exclusive worldwide TV distribution and licensing rights to the property outside of Canada.
