Wild Apple began life as an art publisher of fine art and decorative posters in 1990. The firm was founded by John and Laurie Chester in their Woodstock, Vermont farmhouse.
Four years later, the company began to act as a licensing agent.
Director Kat Gray explains: "Wild Apple began licensing as a response both to product manufacturers who wanted art and design for their products, and a response to artists who wanted someone to handle all the business aspects so that the artist could focus on creativity."
At the beginning, Japanese puzzle manufacturers were the first and most acive licensees. Since that time, teh firm has signed deals in a number of categories including homewares, stationery and gifting.
At Brand Licensing, there will be a wide range of artwork on offer. Gray continues: "Through both printed artist portfolios and electronic presentations, we will show artwork by leading artists Daphne Brissonnet, Lisa Audit, Silbia Vassileva, Albena Hristova, Shirley Novak and many others."
The firm offers over 25 artists for licensing, so there is a wide variety of styles and subjects in the portfolio and the firm is looking for licensees in all areas.
