BLE NEW EXHIBITOR SPOTLIGHT: Wildbrain Entertainment

Wildbrain Entertainment is a DHX Media company. The Entertainment studio develops TV motion pictures, short form programming, commercial content and consumer products.

The firm's programming includes Yo Gabba Gabba, The Ricky Gervais Show, Higglytown Heroes, Bubble Guppies, The Hard Times of RJ Berger, Peanuts and Team Smithereen.

The studio's global licensing group oversees the licensing and retail merchandising portfolio on behalf of the brands and has received Clios, Addys, BDA Awards and Annies for its commercial work, reinvigorating classic brands for leading companies such as the Coca-Cola Company, Honda, Kraft and Nike.

The first licensing programme Wildbrain undertook was Yo Gabba Gabba in the US, which debuted in 2007. The company was acquired by DHX Media in September 2010, which gave it Rastamouse, a current hit in the UK, which has a licensing programme rolling out in time for Christmas.

With the success and demand for Rastamouse, Wildbrain felt is was very important for it to have a presence at BLE this year.

Alongside Rastamouse and Yo Gabba Gabba, Wildbrain will also have The Ricky Gervais Show, Hello Maggot and Animal Mechanicals on show at BLE and hopes to grow the Rastamouse brand, while introducing the rest of the slate to the trade.
